Inclusive education provides an opportunity to engage more students in the messy process of civic engagement and the sustenance of democracy. In this brief talk we will discuss ways in which, even in STEM courses, we can build in pedagogies that prepare students for their technical and social places in broader society. Mechanisms to assess these strategies will also be discussed.
