Serina Fast Horse (Lakota & Blackfeet) is an emerging leader in the Indigenous community of Portland. In Serina's work, she guides collaborative relationships between Indigenous community members and agencies such as the City of Portland (Bureau of Environmental Services and Portland Water Bureau), Metro, Clean Water Services, Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District, Portland State University, and Portland Community College. As a lifelong member of the Portland urban Indigenous community, she uses practices that prioritize community well-being, are appreciated by her community networks, and are conducive to desired outcomes and strong relationships. She is driven by her passion to embrace Indigenous knowledge and empower Indigenous voices to help create a holistic path to healing our ecological and social communities for our future generations.
