The focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) has largely been on workplace issues and the recruitment and retention of diverse professionals. There has been less focus on integrating these concepts into undergraduate coursework while students are building the foundations for their professional careers. This study explores impacts of a DEIJ centered course for undergraduates in a wildlife and natural resources major. Embracing DEIJ during this stage is important as the career landscape evolves and better equips students to create solutions to these longstanding challenges.
