Bonnie L. Harper-Lore - a restoration ecologist who studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While establishing the wildflower program for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Bonnie taught Ecological Principles at the UofM. In 1990 she established the pilot, Midwest regional branch of the National Wildflower Research Center. In 1993, Harper-Lore began a 17 year career managing the national Roadside Vegetation Management program for the FHWA/USDOT, overseeing research, technical transfer and policymaking for 50 State DOTs. Bonnie was a founding member of FICMNEW, PCA, and the North American Weeds Across Borders biennial conference. Her most recent book is the 2015 Vegetation Management, An Ecoregional Approach. Harper-Lore is currently a co-editor of Conservation Matters, From One Generation to Another (a collection of 105 lessons learned at the local, state, federal and international levels, written by 57 disciplines.)
