I strive to be a belowground ecosystem scientist who specializes interactions of tree roots, mycorrhizal fungi, microbial communities in soil. I am interested in incorporating traits of tree roots and mycorrhizal fungi into belowground biogeochemical cycle to better understand forest ecosystem.

Based on my studies on soil and mycorrhizal roots, I am hoping to improve our scaling capability of measuring traits in root system and expanding the empirical data into ecosystem modeling.
