PhD Student
Old Dominion Univeristy
Finished my Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Ukraine) in 2019, where had a research project on avian communities structure along an urban gradient.
Started a Master's Degree at the same university, but also applied for a Fulbright scholarship, which was awarded in 2020, and moved to Norfolk, Virginia, to start an MS program in Biological Sciences at Old Dominion University. After two years of analyzing large eBird and North American Breeding Bird Survey datasets addressing patterns of functional diversity and functional rarity, decided to stay with Walters Lab at Old Dominion University and start a PhD program in Ecological Sciences. My current work incorporates environmental filtering in avian communities along an urban gradient, which includes addressing various theoretical questions, such as niche theory.
