Forest Supervisor USDA Forest Service, United States
Passion for restoring public lands and waters brought me to the Forest Service as an unpaid intern. As I developed sustainable and resilient landscapes across the West, I quickly began to realize that the economic and social function of these landscapes were just as important as the ecological services the land and water provided. To influence and shape or reshape these landscapes in a meaningful manner I realized that I needed to be in a decision-making role, District Ranger and now Forest Supervisor. This session explores my path from scientist to decision maker.
