Diversity Program Manager Ecological Society of America Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Description: Visibility of non-White ecologists remains low and is a barrier for retaining Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students in ecology and related disciplines in part for the following reasons. First, students rarely have mentors of color, and second, students rarely have non-White peers. This student-centered social event will provide an opportunity for BIPOC students to network with each other and to interact with faculty and professionals of color. Light refreshments will be provided.
