Graduate Research Assistant University of Maine Darling Marine Center Walpole, Maine, United States
Session Description: The goal of this workshop is to provide a space to explore ways to connect your personal story with your scientific questions and aspirations. Participants will be guided through a series of interactive storytelling exercises and have time to hone their stories in a friendly and supportive environment. As time allows, we will explore how ecologists’ stories can enrich data-rich presentations, e.g., as part of a research seminar or a popularly oriented talk. Ecologists of all ages, cultures, ethnicities, gender identities, races, religions, and sexual orientations are welcome, and students and early career ecologists are particularly encouraged to participate.
