Session Description: This workshop will introduce you to Quarto (the next generation of RMarkdown). Learn what Quarto is, how it can be used in your workflow, and how how you can integrate your analyses directly into your reports, presentations, or websites. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of Quarto; be able to use both its source and visual editors; learn the basics of Markdown syntax; and learn how to write a report in Quarto that automatically incorporates your analyses, figures, and tables. We will also talk about how to insert footnotes, figure and table captions, and cross-reference items within your article. Attendees should bring their laptops to follow the examples presented in the workshop. In addition, there will be interactive exercises for workshop attendees to apply what they have just learned in Quarto.
This workshop is intended for attendees who are already conducting their analyses in R and would like to learn how to take the next step to generating a report, article, presentation, HTML, or website using Quarto. Great for beginners and experts of RMarkdown. Attendees should be familiar with how to use R.
