Trip Overview This field workshop will cover the basics of photography and videography and their applications for scientific communication. Focus will be on SLR cameras but cell phone, microscope options, and editing software will all be discussed. Field time will be devoted to learning camera functionality, lighting techniques, and options and equipment for everything from portraits, wildlife and macro photography, and videography for YouTube and video abstracts.
Equipment and Attire Bring your SLR or other camera and equipment. Some lighting and photography gear will be provided. Close-toed shoes and long pants are recommended but not required as there will be no strenuous hiking.
