M.S. Biology Graduate Student
California State University, Long Beach, United States
I am a graduate student at California State University - Long Beach working in the Quantitative Ecology Lab led by Raisa Hernández-Pacheco. Currently, I am studying the density-dependent population dynamics of rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta) at the Cayo Santiago biological field station in Puerto Rico administered by the Caribbean Primate Research Center of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). I am specifically interested in quantifying density-dependence on vital rates at the population- and social group-levels, and testing for density dependence in social dispersal. Additionally, I am interested in the contribution of density-dependent vital rates and social dispersal to the long-term fitness of the population.
