Hello, I am Rounak, a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. My dissertation research focuses on unraveling subsoil C-stabilization mechanisms within highly managed terrestrial ecosystems. I utilize a novel approach of stable isotope enrichment in microbial nucleic acids to understand the mechanistic processes behind subsoil C storage by growing deep-rooted plants.
