I am a Mexican Biologist and Master in Sciences graduated from UNAM. I have always tried to link the role of fungal communities to ecosystem processes and biogechemical cycles. That inspired me to study my PhD abroad at the University of California-Irvine. Now as a member of the Treseder Lab, I am looking to understand the effect of mycorrhizal-saprobe interactions on decomposition, and to unveil the marine fungal diversity in undisturbed environments and those affected by an oil spill.
