I use different approaches (field studies, laboratory experiments, next-generation sequencing, meta-analysis, and modelling) to determine how environmental change (e.g. warming, drought, and nitrogen deposition) and agricultural management (e.g. tillage and fertilization) affect carbon cycling in terrestrial ecosystems.
