Marji graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in Rangeland Management/Animal Science from Chadron State College; and in 2002 earned an M.S. in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management/water resources from University of Wyoming.
Marji started her career as a CO-OP intern with the NRCS in Nebraska and Wyoming as a joint venture. Following graduation, Marji was placed in Ogallala, NE as a Rangeland Management Specialist. In 2004, Marji returned to Wyoming as a Resource Conservationist/Rangeland Management Specialist in Medicine Bow, WY.
In 2010, Marji accepted a position with the Soil Survey in Powell, WY as the Ecological Site Specialist (Rangeland Management Specialist) where she worked with an excellent team to establish ecological sites within MLRA 32 and the southern extent of 43B. In 2022 Marji moved into the Ecological Data Quality Specialist in the Northwest Region, excited for the opportunity to assist with ESD development at the regional scale. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge with assisting with ESD progress in the Southcentral Region.
Marji enjoys assisting with youth and adult educational activities through the Society for Range Management, Church, FFA and 4-H. She spends her free time out with her dogs and a camera exploring.
