Martin Dovciak is Associate Professor and Roosevelt Forest Ecologist at State University of New York, College of Environmental Science & Forestry (SUNY ESF) in Syracuse. He received PhD from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and postdoctoral training from University of Washington-Seattle. His first degree is in Forest Engineering from Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia. He studies how global environmental changes such as those in climate, land management, or biodiversity loss affect forest ecosystem structure, resilience, and ecological functions.
