Ecologist
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
I am an Ecologist with the EPA’s Integrated Climate Sciences Division in Research Triangle Park, NC. I received my Ph.D. in Environmental Plant Biology from West Virginia University and researched the effects of elevated CO2 on vegetation at the Duke Forest. Since joining the EPA, I have worked on measurements of Volatile Organic Compounds from vegetation and estimates of ammonia flux from corn fields. My current work focuses on the effect of air pollutants and climate change on vegetation and ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on direct effects of gaseous air pollutants. I am an EPA resource for the translation of science into policy.
