USDA ARS Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory
During the last 12 years, I've been working with the USDA Agricultural Research Service on crop and range lands research at the ecosystem level. Current work involves participation in the Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) network, https://ltar.ars.usda.gov/. We use the eddy covariance method for continuous, half-hourly measurements of carbon, water, and heat fluxes. Data from remote sensing (e.g., NDVI from Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 or HLS) are combined with daily eddy covariance fluxes to model and upscale carbon and water fluxes from the field to the landscape and regional levels.
