Whole ecosystem measures of productivity, respiration and evapotranspiration measured using eddy covariance are available for hundreds of ecosystems around the world. This resource facilitates hypothesis testing in ecosystem ecology using measurements made across ecological gradients or by combining eddy flux observations with experiments, supplementary observations or ecological models. This session brings together researchers working in different ecosystem types and/or across different scales who are using the eddy covariance tool to discover new ecological patterns and controls.
