Abstract: Dashboards are useful tools for displaying data to stakeholders. How can we effectively use dashboards to share ecological data? I will show examples from three different dashboards that I have been building to inform users of: spread of an invasive terrestrial plant species, presence of important aquaculture biofouling species, and types of microplastics in different shellfish species collected from local grocery stores. The workflow designed for these dashboards include collection, management, analysis, and representation of data. In designing these dashboards, the data collected must be useful, the displayed information meaningful, and the dashboard tool accessible.
