Climate change poses a major threat to resilient forests for conservation and forestry. The Climate Smart Land Network (CSLN) of Manomet helps commercial forestry companies understand and take strategic action on climate information so that they can help make forests resilient to climate. This community of practice manages 25% of U.S. commercial timberland in major “woodsheds” of North America. The CSLN takes a science-based approach to advance adaptation, mitigation, and ecological intensification to produce more ecosystem services. We will provide examples of work that addresses climate change through risk detection, workforce development, certification, markets, and supply chains.
