Climate-smart solutions that address climate adaptation and mitigation while maintaining or increasing economic output are quickly becoming marketable. One Palouse is a collaborative economic development agency for Washington State University, University of Idaho, the Port of Whitman, and the surrounding cities in the Columbia River Basin. As the region's expert economic development resource, we will present our collaboration with FIERCE to help future entrepreneurs bring climate-smart solutions to the agricultural and forestry marketplace. We are key to aligning and integrating regional economic development activity to create a Climate Smart Economy (translation of innovation to practice) with FIERCE.
